As you all know, I use this monthly (at least, what is suppose to monthly) check-in post to let you guys know what's coming up for the new month blog-wise and otherwise.
Well, I'l let you guys know right now that September will be a VERY tame month. Not that I got that much done during the summer as I would have liked, but your resident historical romance junkie has to hang up the coconut bra and fruity cocktails and exchange them for university pull over sweaters and 5-hour energy drinks. I am back in school  now, my summer has officially ended, and idk WHERE I am going to find the energy to even tackle half of the cool projects I wanted to start for the blog. I've got TONS of books with half finished reviews I should probably jump on before my course work begins in earnest, and review books I've got to read on top of all that I need to get to asap! I keep hinting at a huge review-mageden... and the longer I put it off, the bigger it'll be. I am literally looking at a full solid month of daily reviews.
Because of those reviewing commitments, I am holding off on scheduling any further author appearances/interviews for a while. I have a few I've had planned from a few month ago, but other than that- do not expect too many interviews until after thanksgiving. I'll try to put together another Christmas Blog Party-but again, it depends on my schedule. Pimpin' (books) ain't easy! Especially with a part-time job, full time school, and a love of sleeping.
I'll brainstorm some ways to compensate for the huge hold I've put on the blog. Maybe monthly kindle ebook giveaways? I'd say paperback giveaways, but if I can't track down my own head 90% of the time, I doubt I'll find time to get to a P.O. and ship! Thank Austen for fast, convenient, Amazon gifting! lol! But I'll consider throwing in some after a while. Perhaps I'll do a giveaway of 1 book from the author of the month's back list?
I'll get it all together soon. I have no choice! lol!

I'll grin and bear this month of crazy re-adjusting! Damn school. But Yay for the kick in the pants to get myself organized (or at least, my greatest interpretation of it). It can only get better from here.

It's June!
Mega-Squee is in effect!!!
SO besides this month being MY birthday month, there's so much awesomeness going on in the romance reading world, I can hardly contain myself. RWA 11' is going down later this month, and even though it costs a leg and an arm to attend, the Literary Signing (big author signing event) is free and open to the public--it also takes place on my birthday! Which ALSO happens to be the day tons of great releases are scheduled to come out (see this month's list of Anticipated Releases). It'll be AMAZING!
....*bashful face*As you can tell, I haven't exactly gotten the whole 'getting back on track' thing down to a science. This should be the last time any of my staple posts (the new month update posts) should be late. Lots of reviews in the works and the requests just keep on coming. I'll be a very busy girl this summer but it's all worth it.
Something exciting that's going down this month is that me and the other members of the Pervy Trinity- Kati from Romancing Rakes and Jamie from For The Love of Romance, will be starting a fun little something later thing month. If you're a fan of Chelsea Lately, you'll love this new venture.  We're calling it Romance Lately-a talk show about romance books! (sounds cool, right?)The Trinity is starting this really cool online broadcast where we talk about the latest releases in the romance genre and then interview authors LIVE! Viewers will also be able to contribute by asking questions either to the hosts (the trinity) or the author! (if you have a webcam, you can video call in and speak to the author directly!) We're lining up some really cool guests for the first few shows-we know everyone will just FLIP when the first episode goes live! I can't reveal much more than that, but make sure you follow the show's blog at RomanceLately.blogspot.com  for updates and links to the first broadcast which is scheduled for June 18th!
Another big update: I am pretty much confirmed to be going to RomCon11' ! SO EXCITED! It's a readers conference of sorts with tons of events and lots of great authors are going. If you're going, email me so we can  find mutual events to meet up at! And if you're not-umm, REGISTER!!! Actually, there's a special contest going on now that I'll fill you in on in a future post where you could win a ticket!!!

Okay, so I know you guys are looking at me like "yeah, right" when I say:
"Just bare with me a little longer. Finals are almost over!"
But I am serious this time =) lol
Friday is my first exam and then it's going to be a all weekend study-fest since my last 3 finals are on that Monday and Tuesday. Then Wednesday I am taking a personal day (*g*) and watching some period romance on DVD. THEN on Thursday I'll be in full blog swing mode with a special guest post by Jenn Leblanc!! There will be hot men involved.. (yeah, you can thank me later)

Pretty much blog-wise, expect tons of review posts and other posts towards the end of this month and hopefully I'll finally get to writing up that darn privacy policy I've been meaning to do. I'll also get that suggestion box form up and running soon so you guys can tell me (nicely) what I've been doing wrong, right, or not at all and what you'd like to see.
If you've subscribed via email, I am working on something special for you guys. How do you guys feel about a monthly newletter with exclusive dish on blog activities before the 'general public' knows.  Email Subscribers/Newletter Followers will get the event schedule for that month, exclusive extra entries towards giveaways, ect ect. It's a work in progress, but I am hoping you guys think it's a good idea.
I also have another exciting project I've put on hold for a bit that I am going to focus on more once I finish with finals. Can't give away too much detail, but it will be EPIC!
